A Typical Weekend While Studying Abroad in Seville, Spain

Exploring Seville, Spain: My Home-Away-From-Home for the Semester

My roommates and I spent a lot of time traveling to other countries during our semester abroad, but weekends in Seville were always very special. On our weekends we spent time exploring the beautiful architecture and museums, trying the food, and enjoying the things you can only experience in Seville. Here we visited the Seville Cathedral, the Alcazar Gardens, and other spectacular monuments.

My roommates and I also took advantage of a night-at-the-museum event to see the Museo de Bellas Arte de Sevilla in a new light.

I spent a lot of time in María Luisa Park, which was only a 10-minute walk from my home in Los Remedios, and visited my favorite sculpture of the Three Stages of Love. My roommates and I also had a picnic in María Luisa Park where we ate and journaled about our time abroad; this was one of my most special moments in Seville.

Another amazing memory was going to the Betis game in Seville where we won against Palma 1-0!

We also spent the day visiting the Seville Aquarium, looking at and learning about the amazing marine life.

One of my favorite photos shared here is of my roommates, Jaden, Maya, and Libby, as we walked back from our first Flamenco show. The show was so beautiful and was an incredible introduction to the spectacular Sevillian culture of dance and music.

As the semester came to an end, my roommates and I went out for a drink with our host mom, Antonia, and said our goodbyes one last time.

And on the last night of the program I went to the Manhattan bar for a last reunion with some of the other CEA CAPA students. Seville is an amazing and unique city. It was perfect to spend my semester abroad here and I would not have picked another city.
