My time studying abroad has been very special. I have been able to travel to places that many people only dream of visiting. One of my adventures was to Morocco, where I went to three different cities: Tetouan, Tangier, and Chefchaouen!
(Above: One of the most fun activities of our trip was camel riding in Tangier!)
This is picture was taken in the Cave of Hercules. This is one of the openings to the sea and when looking at this opening from the outside, the outline looks like the map of Africa. |
This hillside community in Tetouan is known as the Old Town or Medina. The Medina is known for its Spanish influence. |
Now, we are in the Blue City, Chefchaouen! Chefchaouen is surrounded by high mountains and ocean. The landscapes that surround this city made it difficult for any foreign invaders to attack many years ago. |
Chefchaouen is known for its vibrant colors and intricate shops owned by the locals. |
Chefchaouen was my favorite places that we visited because of its unique buildings and culture. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. |
