Back in the States, I am a music ministry major. This means that I am studying to be in charge of music in a church setting. Even though my school here in the French Riviera doesn’t have a music or music ministry major, there are plenty of opportunities for me to find music in churches in the area. I figured that coming to Europe, there would only be old cathedrals with very traditional churches. Although that is the majority, it is actually very similar to America in the sense that there is a church and church music style for everyone. Some of the photos shared here are from a very beautiful and ornate old cathedral in Nice. The others are from a contemporary service at a megachurch called Hillsong Church. It is so beautiful to me that music can be such a consistent medium even through different countries and their cultural flair.
