Let me start by saying that Dublin, Ireland is NOT what you'd expect... at all.

I expected Dublin City to be like stereotypical Ireland; magical, foggy, and filled with sheep. I couldn't have been more incorrect. Here are my 5 reasons why I'm obsessed with Dublin.

1. It is The Capitol of Technology

 Dublin's Silicon Docks

Everyone is here. Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Twitter, Paypal, Yahoo, and more all have their European headquarters in Dublin. Because of this, the city is always changing and extremely advanced.

2. The History is Deep

 Dublin Castle

While tech advances are at an all time high, Dublin still offers rich history. Every corner you turn has a new piece of Ireland's exhilarating past.

3. The People are Amazing

 Dublin Friends

The Irish people are known to be some of the friendliest in the world, and with about one-million residents, you're bound to make friends quickly.

4. Endless Possibilities for Fun

 Dublin National Gallery

Between the museums, art galleries, parks, castles, and local shops, you could find something new to do every single day while studying abroad in Dublin.

5. The City is Simply Beautiful

If you walk a mile to the east, you're at the coast.  A mile in the other direction takes you to stunning parks. Everything in between is packed with detailed architecture through every generation.
