Goodbye is Only for Now

As my first semester abroad comes to a close, I’m finding it more difficult to part with the strange group of misfit friends that I have made. We have grown closer than I could have imagined in the past few months, probably because we have all come together with the same mindset and a heart for travel. Although goodbyes are painful, I know that ours are not in vain. We may end up living across the world or country, we may even end up living in the same city, who knows where, but I do know that distance makes the heart grow fonder. As we reflect upon our time together, we remember the best parts of each other and our city: the laughs and cries and overall absurdity of the family that we have created.
