The weekend of March 8th-10thour CEA group spent the weekend on an Excursion in Granada! Thus far it’s definitely in my top five cities in Spain! Such a great weekend away….despite the rain. Fun fact. Granada means Pomegranate in Spanish.
The cute graffiti street art never ends! Really like this little guy!
Practicing for Semana Santa. The guys carrying the “alter” can sometimes have up to 200 pounds on the shoulders of each person!!
Coca-Cola wanted to advertise in Granada but the town said not unless it fits the style of our town. We refuse to have your red logo throwing off the style of this neighborhood. Since I’m a marketing major I found this pretty cool! The only one in existence!
Street venders…especially of the Arabic variety…very popular in Granada. They’re all over the streets. Their shops are just the cutest!
At the end of the Flamenco show they grabbed people up to dance. I got picked!
Inside La Cueva de la Rocío
What would a Spanish city be without a Cathedral!
La Alhambra! Seriously so breathtaking. This is the local viewing point of it in addition to being able to see pretty much all of Granada.
Inside La Alhambra is seriously so pretty! Words can’t even begin to describe it! The average visit time is THREE HOURS! We definitely took that whole time and needed it! I could have spent even longer there!
It’s so well preserved! Look at those colors!!!
We made it to the top of one of the towers! The view from up there is insanely beautiful! You literally can see all of Granada!
