Consulting Project Focus Area: Business and Finance
The Business Consulting program with associated experiential learning equips you to work as a practitioner in a real-world organization. In London, you’ll dive into the dynamic fields of business and finance, where you’ll address challenges such as rising costs, market competition, and talent retention. Working as part of a consulting team, you’ll apply your knowledge of business management, financial analysis, and strategic communication to develop innovative solutions that help local enterprises thrive in a competitive marketplace.
The Business Consulting project with a focus on Business and Finance allows you to gain essential skills in financial consulting and business administration. You’ll learn to navigate the complexities of the post-pandemic business landscape, making a tangible impact on the success of enterprises in one of the world’s leading financial centers.

The Center’s prime location in the borough of Kensington seamlessly blends historical charm with modern convenience, creating the perfect setting for immersive learning and endless adventure.
Three nearby Underground stations—Gloucester Road, Earl’s Court, and South Kensington—ensure easy access to all that London has to offer, from world-class museums and historic parks. You can explore the city's vibrant art scene, from iconic institutions like Tate Modern to hidden galleries showcasing contemporary works. London's diverse food culture offers you an endless array of culinary experiences, from global street food markets to Michelin-starred restaurants, reflecting the city's multicultural identity.
Housed in two connected Victorian townhouses, the London Center features state-of-the-art facilities, including 11 classrooms, a black-box theater and drama studio, plus quiet study spaces. The student lounge fosters a social atmosphere where you and your fellow study abroad students can connect, collaborate, and build lifelong friendships. The dedicated CEA CAPA onsite team enhances your study abroad experience by offering academic, internship, and personal development support, promoting wellness, and cultivating a home-away-from-home environment.

Accreditation
Courses taught at the CEA CAPA London Center have been designed in conjunction with, and approved by, the University of New Haven (UNH). In addition, faculty appointments have been approved by UNH. After the successful completion of a session at the CEA CAPA London Center, you will receive credit for your work from UNH. Located in Connecticut, the University of New Haven is a student-focused, comprehensive university that’s fully accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). The agreement between CEA CAPA and UNH follows the highest standards of good practice in education abroad and satisfies the rigorous requirements of the University's institutional accreditor, making credits earned at the CEA CAPA London Center easily transferable to US-accredited institutions. Grading
Professors at the CEA CAPA London Center carefully evaluate student's work and progress throughout their academic session. When calculating final grades, instructors consider written and oral exercises, homework assignments, attendance, classroom participation, and exam performance.

Classroom and Information
- Classes are taught by international faculty and represent a variety of different backgrounds.
- Periodic exams, homework assignments, and final exams will be administered.
- Attendance in all classes is mandatory and monitored by each professor.
- The maximum class size is 25 students, and most classes range from 10-18 students. Small class sizes mean more personalized attention from your instructors.

Program Structure & Courses
The required Business Consulting course is comprised of both an academic course and a locally based business consulting project that will require you to meet with clients and conduct group work outside of class. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about your assigned company through in-person or virtual meetings and by visiting their facilities/operations, conducting market research, creating relationships, ideating proposals and solutions, all of which will culminate in a consulting proposal.
In addition to your 3-credit business consulting course and project, you will choose 1 additional CEA CAPA course to take from the catalog of course options available to you. This provides you with the opportunity to gain professional experience while also making progress toward your degree requirements and engaging in classes that afford a richer cultural experience.
Courses meet for 45 contact hours/3 credits. Overall, you may earn 6 credits. CEA CAPA courses meet Monday through Thursday.
Prior to departure, you will select your preferred courses. You will be enrolled into courses based on their availability. It is in your best interest to have multiple alternative courses approved by your home university prior to your departure due to course availabilities. Please consult with your academic advisor at your home university on credit pre-approval guidelines.

Semester students are typically offered between two to three excursions and summer study students are typically offered between one to two excursions.
