DESCRIPTION
This course offers students an intensive examination of some of the most critical and fraught philosophical issues within the both the Western (Christian) and Asian (primarily Buddhist) religious traditions. Topics may include: free will and determinism, nominalism and realism, theories of analogy, medieval metaphysics, theories of mind, the doctrine of two truths in India and Tibet, Tibetan epistemology, and emptiness yoga.
