DESCRIPTION
Intended for students who have completed the equivalent of two to three semesters of college level French. This course is designed to give an overview and understanding of French wine regions. Coursework includes wine tastings, winemaking, understanding labels and appellations, choosing and serving wine. The course will entirely be provided in French and focus on the wine regions of France. Students will acquire knowledge about winemaking, grape varieties, terroir, understanding wine labels and AOC systems. In addition, the students will learn the vocabulary of wine in French from basic vocabulary to tasting and some technical vocabulary. The class will include wine tastings, using the WSET Approach to tasting.
