DESCRIPTION

This course has been designed for students who are independent users of the Spanish language. The course aims to develop students? knowledge and skills at the low-intermediate level (B1), according to the Common European Framework for Languages (CEFR). During the course, students will gain the necessary skills to create narratives (oral and written) detail and explain events in different tenses. Students will be able to interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. Additionally, they are encouraged to initiate processes of self-correction, self-monitoring and peer feedback. Students will be able to produce clear and detailed speech and texts on a wide range of familiar topics, use different time frames, support their opinions/viewpoints, add details, and provide explanations as necessary. In sum, students will acquire the competencies they require to continue with their formal education in this foreign language.
