DESCRIPTION

The subject of ARCHITECTURAL COMPOSITION 6 (CA6) develops a specific syllabus on theories and intervention projects in the architectural heritage (historical and modern) and culminates the subjects of the area of knowledge of the Architectural Composition (history, theory, criticism and heritage of the architecture and the city) in Degree of Fundamentals in Architecture. A conceptual and applied approach to intervention in territorial, urban and architectural heritage is proposed, understood as a disciplinary theme that can also be approached from sustainability and recycling. The legislative and urbanistic conditions in terms of protection of the architectural-urban-territorial heritage, as well as the intervention attitudes towards it, will be emphasized. In order to do so, themes of reflection such as the heritage-monument duality, cataloging documents, critical attitudes towards heritage or intervention criteria, among others, are proposed. Through this agenda, it is intended to complete the technological approach that does urban and architectural heritage from other areas of knowledge.

Course will consist of 60hrs of in class work and 90 hrs of independent work outside the classroom.
