Why did you choose to study or intern abroad? And why did you choose your destination? I wanted to study and intern abroad because I feel that traveling allows you to gain new perspectives. By spending an entire semester living, learning, and working in a completely different country, one can learn so much about themselves and others! I love Aix-en-Provence because it is a central city for universities in Southern France so I am surrounded by French and international students.

What is one new experience you're hoping to have while studying abroad?
I am hoping to find a café or restaurant where the employees know me personally. That is the point where I feel like a local and can walk in and have them know my name!

What is something you're passionate and excited about?
I am passionate about food! I travel based on the restaurants or food experiences that I am able to find. I feel like food can connect you to so many people and places, plus it is just very delicious.

what class are you most looking forward to taking while studying abroad?
I am taking all of my classes in French, so I am looking forward to a creative writing class entitled Writing in the Mediterranean: The Meeting of Literature and Regional Culture. Learning multiple writing styles is going to allow me to improve my language skills in a completely new way!
