A Photographic Journey: Studying Abroad in Barcelona

1

Last week marked our first month as study abroad students in Barcelona. Looking back, I really didn’t know what to expect before I got here. Yes, I did my research and looked up a few things on Google (like I’m sure a lot of people did). But, I’ve realized, you can’t really experience a place or truly know about it until you get there. I initially chose to study abroad in Barcelona because of its famously amazing weather, beaches, and architecture. And even though these are, in fact, amazing – there’s so much more to this city that has made me fall in love with it more than I ever thought I would.

The pictures I chose for this post are of those things that made me choose Barcelona, and are still some of my favorite things about it. The beach, the pier, all the beautiful sunsets, Sagrada Família… just a few things that can give you a glimpse into life in Barcelona. But trust me, just like I’ve learned this past month, there’s a lot more to it than that.
