If you are the type to explore the outdoors, seek adventure and looking to change your scenery, the French Riviera will give you the fix that you are looking for!
Here are some tips and facts about some outdoor activities in a place where I called home, Antibes, France.
Snorkeling
Under the crystal blue waters of Cote d’Azur, you will find similar fish, coral and other sea creatures from the Caribbean. Except: there are no sharks to be careful of while snorkeling off the shores of Antibes! The odds of seeing a shark are very slim (…I know, I couldn’t believe it at first too!) but the amount of jellyfish is something that should make you be on the lookout!
Another amazing part about snorkeling in France is that anywhere you feel comfortable to go swimming…YOU CAN. There are no limits and if you are really good at swimming you can find amazing places to adventure off to!

Hiking
Not too far from Antibes, is a small historic village called Eze. Eze sits right on top of a mountain overlooking the French Riviera, with 360 views of the surrounding mountains and coves! This touristy spot is a must see when spending a week in this region.
A place to go on a beautiful night, and a must to bring all your visitors is a place called Cap d’Antibes. After taking a short 5-minute bus ride outside of town, sits a cove in between Juan-les-pins and Antibes. There is a 4-mile path on the outskirts of the cove, that has you walk on cliffs, and beaches. These breathtaking views and sunsets reminds you of how beautiful nature really can be!

Beach Dwelling
During the summer months, beaches are filled with tourists from all over the world. The yacht yards are filled with elegant boats and travelers that clearly embrace the relaxed French culture. Every day after class we had the chance to hang out by the beaches, enjoy the amazing weather and appreciate the once in a lifetime opportunity that CEA offers.
