Being a Cinema Production Major in Paris

People from across the world flock to Paris for its rich history in art, architecture, and intellectual achievement: its expansive avenues and manicured gardens inspire people in these fields to innovate. It's the same for me. I felt a draw to Paris' penchant for self-reflection and found myself feeling more motivated to practice my art than ever before.

Paris kept me on my toes. I spent my free time trying to see this magnifique city with a cinematic eye, while still staying true to my personal aesthetic. These are some of my favorite attempts at seeing cinematically — all in an anamorphic ratio.

A foyer in the Palais Garnier, framed by two regal busts.

Classic Parisian homes juxtaposed with the ultra-modern Center Pompidou.

A quaint afternoon at the Luxembourg Gardens.

 Rows of chandeliers at Notre-Dame.
A view of the Holy Trinity Cathedral from below.

City urbanization in the neighborhood of Clichy-Batignolles.

 Some friends on the Seine.

Pillars at the Pantheon dwarf the surrounding neighborhood.
Overlooking the city center from the top of the Eiffel Tower.

A photography project for my Mass Media & Fashion course, showing off the glamor of the city — featuring the oddly gorgeous Arts et Métiers metro station.
