Studying abroad in Grenoble was the best semester of my life. I wouldn't change it for the world.

The artistic and cultural center of France and, arguably, the world is none other than Le Louvre. This world-famous museum is a must-see for anyone who visits Paris. Just walking in its halls gives you a sense of history, not to mention the plethora of world renowned art decorating the walls.

This popular location is located right underneath the Bastille in the Notre-Dame quarter of Grenoble. The Isere River separates Grenoble from its neighboring villages and cities, and creates numerous gorgeous views.

The free expression of street artists is evident in many European cities, and Grenoble is no different. Just walking down the road to run a few errands will expose you to plenty of modern art by Grenoble’s street artists.

The Isere River has long been a problem for the city of Grenoble, as it has historically jumped its banks and flooded the city. However, levees and channels have created a near flawless system which keeps Grenoble and its citizens dry.
