 Fresh bread and jam

As I write this and every time I look at these photos, my mind wanders and my mouth waters. I’m kind of a brunch freak, so believe me when I say Oni Coffee has got it goin’ on. I actually stumbled upon this place as my friend Morgan and I were walking to a different cafe to study in, when she couldn’t wait any longer to use the restroom. So this was the closest cafe that met the criteria to use their bathroom (if they had one) 1. Looked friendly 2. Had some pastries to buy in case we had to buy something in order to use their restroom.
 Cute decor in Oni Coffee

Since it looked super cute, I decided to sit down while I waited for her. When she came out, we both decided that this place was calling our name. We sat down and pulled out our laptops, but we didn’t really work. The cafe and the lighting was just too beautiful to not take pictures. As we sat there longer, taking photos and ignoring our homework, we started to get hungry. Lucky for us, they had a scrumptious brunch waiting for us to order.
 Cappuccino and green tea

While in the U.S., brunch is definitely more of a “thing,” the French still know how to throw down a good brunch - but with their little twist on it. In the U.S., you order one dish, sometimes a combo if you’re feeling extra hungry, but that’s mainly it. One dish and you’re done. In Paris, you’ve got courses. Smaller portions, but many dishes. And it seems like they just keep on comin’.
 Sweet potato egg dish

At Oni Coffee, there’s a set menu to choose from, with two to three options within each level.

To start, you get your choice of drink. I chose a green tea. Oh, and you get your choice of a fresh juice as well. Next, they bring fresh bread with jam. After, I ordered a sweet potato with eggs and a side salad. Wow delicious. That little boat of sweet potato heaven was singing all the way down into my happy tummy. On the sweeter side, they brought these pancakes. Perfectly balanced and fluffy, these sweet apple clouds dressed in maple syrup would be the perfect ending to the meal - except wait there’s more! To top it off, I ended the meal with this granola. While it was delicious, I was so full I could only manage a few bites.

 Beautiful and delicious pancakes

Not only is Oni Coffee a spectacular place to grab some brunch, it’s also a great study spot. They have WiFi, tables and some good spots for people watching.
Granola to finish off the meal

Overall, this is one of my favorite hangout spots in Paris - for coffee, tea, some picture taking or for a grand brunch. Just don’t forget your camera because this whole place is Insta-worthy.
The windows are great for people-watching, just watch out they may realize you're taking a photo of them!
