My Study Abroad City and Me!

Connecting with your study abroad city is a really important step into making an unfamiliar city feel like home. Getting to your city is an exhilarating experience, and something you'll probably never get to do again, but what I wanted to do what make it my home away from home.

Back in the United States, there were things I would do on a regular basis, my routine. I wanted to bring that to Barcelona with me because I would be here for 4 months.

I started to realize that no matter where you are, people tend to do the same thing and activities. People met up with friends and hang out in the park just as I would do if I were still at home. So that's what I did, brought my everyday life to Barcelona with me and made studying abroad extra special. From visiting my favorite park every other day to relaxing on the beach, this special routine I made for myself really connected me to my study abroad city and has made this amazing opportunity to live somewhere else even more special for me!
