In the Czech Republic, Christmas markets are called vánoční trh. When they begin to appear around mid-November, the capital city becomes draped in holiday spirit. They seem to pop up everywhere--Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square, Anděl, Prague Castle, and Náměstí Míru, among other spots. With their own unique feel, each market offers a glimpse into a different part of the city. Traveling from market to market was one of my favorite ways to tour Prague.
