In just over a week, Florence has quickly offered some of the most memorable food a student could dream of. Without walking more than five minutes from a perfectly fan-conditioned apartment, we found ourselves at the doorsteps to the some of the best food in the world. The 39 (Area Code of Florence), is a perfect place to try some of the best food the world can offer at an insanely cheap price.
For those who want to keep their pockets and stomachs full, Voglia di Kebab is just one of the many places that will hit your sweet spot. Rotated carne is slow cooked and freshly cut in front of you as the magician behind the counter mixes lettuce, onion, tomatoes, french fries and a trifecta of sauces into a freshly warmed bread roll or tortilla. It may not be what one would expect in Italy, but the meals here will put you on a euphoric space ship that flies you into perfect state of tranquility. Wow.

Feeling a little more wild? Want some authentic Florentine food? Lampredotto is the local bite one must go to, to indulge in the Italian culture. Lampredotto is a savory meat coming from the inside walls of a cow’s stomach. Sounds good? Tastes even better. The meat is cooked in an herbed broth that keeps the stomach meat moist and buttery with a hint of new flavors that can send your tastebuds back to the time they were born.

The 39 has already offered up some of the best food the world has to offer and it is all within a five minute walk from where I lam at any time, but doesn’t stop there. Students can easily find new hole in the wall places. While the weeks progress, I will be trying to find new places, but I will always venture back to these 3 Eats in the +39.
