Dream Come True: Paris Fashion Week Internship

One of the main reasons I chose to study abroad in Paris is because of its fashion history and culture. I aspire to work in the fashion industry, so having the opportunity to apply as an intern for the highly respected, American, brand Badgley Mischka was a dream come true!

The brand comes to Paris every Paris Fashion Week in order to connect with their foreign buyers, and works with CEA to find interns to assist with their appointments.  I was so lucky to be selected as one of the interns along with many of my close friends, whom I met in CEA.
There were so many gorgeous couture and collection gowns, dresses and sportswear pieces! Here is a view of the showroom after we merchandised it.

It had such beautiful images!

For 5 days we went to the Hyatt-Vendome hotel to assist with showroom appointments. We were in charge of setting up, organizing and merchandising the clothing, as well as dressing the models throughout all appointments.

The team was so welcoming and really wanted to make sure the study abroad internship was a learning experience for us all. I've had other fashion internships in the past, and this team was exceptionally inclusive! By the end of the internship, we had all basically memorized the Couture, Collection and Sportswear gowns and pieces, and become so comfortable with the team. It wasn't easy saying bye, but I am so grateful for this experience. I know I will remember it as one of my highlights abroad!
