Reflection on a Semester Abroad

After a whirlwind semester doing as much adventuring as possible in 4 months time, I wanted this video to reflect on the calmer moments of my stay in Europe. Looking back on the moments that stand out to me the most, they are not always the most eventful. I feel nostalgia for the smallest of things that I got to experience for the first time abroad. Taking long walks through the streets of Paris alone. Sitting by the river with bare feet dangling over the edge. Visiting my favorite bookstore and then spending the afternoon reading in the park. Riding the metro early in the morning with music as my only companion. These sorts of moments were just as invaluable as the ones I spent laughing with friends, traveling to other countries, and discovering new things. They beautiful in their own small yet monumental way. This video shows sides of both: the travel and the reflection. The greatest hits of my study abroad experience were fun, but these small and familiar things that I became accustomed to are what changed me. I am thankful for it all.
