Food Frenzy!

So there is truly nothing better than food. I am going to go ahead and admit that most of the time, I am thinking of food.

Especially when I am living in a cultural mecca where people bring their traditions of cooking to share and teach. In London, there is a not a corner of town where you cannot find something delicious to eat. Since I have gotten here, I have been so immersed into different kind of food. Especially types that I did not think I had the taste buds for.

The very first full day I had here in London, my friends and I went into central London and found a ton of places to eat. OK, so I am kind of a picky eater and I have very high standards when it comes to what food I put in my mouth. However, I was completely satisfied by the amount of dining places I had to choose from.

In my opinion, the best place in London to get a simply healthy meal is at Pret a Manger. Other than the grocery store, I probably eat here more than anywhere else. It is a very cheap place to get a meal for those long 3 hour class periods. The Crawfish Avocado Salad, the Sushi Wrap, and the Quinoa Salads are so convenient as well as also being extremely tasty and healthy.

Now for all you coffee drinkers, no need to worry, there are several interesting places to go and get a cup of coffee. In the UK, Nero would be the equivalent to a Starbucks in the States, and their coffee is excellent. Coffee is expensive here, but the warmth and taste is well worth it on those cold autumn days.

Do you ever get the need for a big juicy burger? Well the restaurant, Byron Burger and Gourmet Burger Kitchen are by far the best places to go for a savory burger, skinny fries. Burgers joints are a great place when looking for a nice place to sit and have a drink with my friend.

Also, we cannot forget about PIZZA. Just like a burger, pizza is so good when there is a mix of flavors. In Covent Garden, there is a great restaurant called Union Jacks, where you can sit outside and listen to music or the local acts playing around the area.

Since I have gotten here, I have a newfound a new love for Indian and Thai food.
Wagamamas is a Thai food chain that is located all around London. It is also where my friends and I went to celebrate my birthday dinner and it could not have been better! I think I have fallen in love with Indian food because there are so many rich flavors and spices to choose from.

And last, but certainly not least is dessert. I consider myself a chocoholic, and I am living in a city where there is so many great bakeries and treats. After every meal, I need a that little hint of chocolate to keep me going or else I go crazy. Fortunately, I have found the best Gelato place in Carnaby called Scoop!

Luckily, I am studying abroad is one of the most plentiful cities when it comes to food and dessert! I love you London :))
