Experiencing Community and Friendship Abroad

Studying abroad is an incredible learning experience. Everyday is filled with opportunities to try new food, visit new places, and meet new people. I have met lifelong friends during my time here in Spain. Two weeks ago, I visited one of my friend's hometown and stayed at her family's home. Here are some photos from my memorable trip to the beach town of Motril, with unforgettable friends.

Walking down the streets with ice-cream, paradise!

We also visited the beach in Salobrena!

Yum!

Another park. This time with peacocks!

Walking to the Salobrena Castle

Almost there!

Being open-minded and taking chances led me to meeting my friend Yessica at an intercambio language exchange meeting. I can't describe how thankful I am for my experience abroad, and for the friends I have made. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to fit everything I wanted into my suitcase this May …how right I was!
