CEA Paris Escapade to Bruges!

What do you get when you cross delicious waffles, hot off the griddle...

beautiful architecture in a medieval town center...

mouth-watering bakeries...

whole museums dedicated to friet (fries!)...
and LOTS and LOTS of chocolat???

A CEA Escapade to BRUGES
of course!!!

Last Saturday at 7am, CEA Paris students made their way through the Parisian metro to meet up at the Gare du Nord train station. To set the ambiance for the Belgian food-filled day, they divided up into three groups for the commute: Waffles,  Speculoos and Moul'Frites :-)
Have you ever had a speculoos cookie?
If not, you should definitely make it your life mission to try one!

After a quick train to Lille and bus ride to Bruges, CEA Paris students were soon navigating the city, on their own personal adventures:
Within 15 minutes, Lynne and Trisha had sniffed out the waffle stand!

Student Services Assistant, Anne-Cécile, jumped on the chocolate waffle bandwagon...

There were bicycles built for four to admire...(must need legs of steel no?!)

Speculoos flavored marzipan to taste...(because uh, everything tastes better with speculoos)

Buggy rides through the town to enjoy...

and photo opp,

after photo opp,

after photo opp!

You can't beat the Venice of the North, with its charming canals and cozy tea houses. It was the perfect winter escapade destination :-)
