In just the past year, CEA Global Education has experienced tremendous growth, with the launch of three new CEA Global Campuses in Dublin, Shanghai and Buenos Aires this year alone, bringing the total to nine campuses. In this period of dynamic growth, we recognize the need to continue adding support to our existing academic team and are pleased to announce three critical new positions: Vice President for Academic Affairs, Registrar and Academic Coordinator. These positions will greatly strengthen CEA's academic leadership, oversight and effectiveness.
The following is an overview of the key functions of these roles:
The Vice President for Academic Affairs position will provide high level leadership and daily support at the Tempe (AZ) headquarters for this growing academic team. The VPAA will bring experience and insight to CEA's School of Record relationship with the University of New Haven (UNH), to well established processes of academic oversight and innovation, and to provide leadership for the entire CEA Academic team, both locally and internationally. I am particularly excited about this position and will be leading this search process.
The Registrar and Academic Coordinator positions are support staff positions that will provide additional support for crucial functions of managing growing student enrollment records, Global Campus faculty credentials and transcripting of courses completed at our Global Campuses. These positions will work closely with Jenna Granum, a long-time staff member and currently CEA's Academic Operations Manager, and our UNH colleagues.
You can find more information about open positions at CEA Global Education here.
Finally, I am very excited about my continued work at CEA. With the addition of the above positions, I will now be able to fill an important and creative role as Vice President for Strategic Partnerships. This position will allow me to connect more closely with colleges and universities across the U.S. to identify opportunities to serve as a strategic partner to develop innovative programs that not only meet current student needs but also address institutional goals for global learning, both through study abroad and on campus. This, I feel, is an untapped synergy in education abroad, and I am eager to continue working with many of you to realize this new level of connectivity.
We are pleased with the recent growth and development at CEA and realize the importance of adding leadership and support for our existing teams. We look forward to being able to continue to serve the needs of students and their institutions and to continue enhancing the level of support CEA offers the greater education abroad community. If you have any questions about the shape of the future in CEA academics, please contact me.
