CEA study abroad programs offer a wide range of immersion opportunities. Two students in Alicante, Tammy Hudson and Courtney Wood share their experience working with sick children through ASPANION, an association for parents who have children with cancer. It was founded in 1985 in order to increase awareness about the needs of these children and their families.
"We had the opportunity through CEA to volunteer with a study abroad program called ASPANION... Once a week we go for two hours and make mobiles, draw pictures, and play board games. It was great to see that despite the fact that the kids were sitting sick in a hospital, they could be positive and enjoy their time with the other kids and the volunteers, as well.”- by Tammy Hudson and Courtney Wood
