DESCRIPTION
This module is designed for final-year students of Modern Languages and Cultures. The students will be exposed to a variety of literary texts with a political content that addresses the dynamics of relationship between the self and the other. This relationship is multifaceted and complex, particularly in the context of colonial and post- colonial societies. To this end, drawing on important texts and events, the course examines imperialist narratives and their consequences for the contemporary world.
