The module provides students with a wide-ranging knowledge of the global financial system and associated financial markets and institutions. It focuses on issues related to the role of the central banks, the functions of different types of financial institutions and markets, and understanding of financial products commonly traded in each financial market (including equity markets, money markets and bond markets).
