DESCRIPTION

Accounting is an indispensable tool to manage an economic unit. It helps us to elaborate and to control economic and financial information derived from the development of the company?s activity.

Its main goal is the acquisition of necessary knowledge to elaborate, communicate, validate analyse and interpret relevant information about the economic and financial situation of the unit so that we can take crucial decision at a strategic and operational level. The instrumental process of this lecture enables the student to identify remarkable economic and financial facts of the company's relationship with the outside, as well as it helps to quantify and to register operations following the General Accounting Plan. Information is synthesised to determine the company?s economic result and financial circumstances. Finally, this content leads the student to acknowledge the standards for the preparation of annual accounts.

It is important to highlight that this content orientates the lecture towards a practical level and the touristic corporations being the main subject of study.
