The International Internship program is designed for students with advanced Spanish language skills interested in enhancing your career development skills through an international work placement. You will have the opportunity to immerse fully in Latin American culture and workplace and continue to earn academic credit. Internship placements are 12 weeks in length and take place Monday through Friday. You will work approximately 4 hours per day/20 hours per week at your internship site. The exact time of day and days of the week will be decided with your host organization after you arrive. Your work schedule will be structured with limited flexibility. Bi-weekly seminar meetings will be held for 1.5 hours. During these seminar meetings, you will check in with your faculty and site supervisors and reflect upon your experience in your internship program individually and with your peers.
* Recommended credit and contact hours are based upon estimates commonly used for credit articulation. However, the total amount of credit awarded for the internship will depend on your home institution's credit transfer and articulation policies.
* Internship placement will be contingent upon Spanish language placement exam results.
