Principles of Management

This course will provide information about the workings of organizations and of?the?types of work that managers perform, which is designed to present students with an understanding of how to use and apply the various business - frameworks, models, tools, and techniques. It will also provide an introduction to the various business disciplines including strategic and operations management, human resource management, innovation management, knowledge and change management. This course is intended as an introduction to basic management principles and practices related to planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling. It also provides an introduction to basic management concepts and approaches including strategic and operations management, human resource management, innovation management, knowledge management and change management. The instructor will emphasize both theory and practice using lectures, case studies, exercises, presentations and exams.
