DESCRIPTION
The Computer Graphics - 1 module deals with the challenge of creating 3D objects and their integration within a background from another source such as live action. The students will also be introduced to a virtual camera and the principles of real camera data to match movement and dimensions. Students are also introduced to the principles of 3D modelling and space, including the idea of placing of objects into a static composite. By adding an environment (the background plate) the object will then be subject to the laws of perspective, and to reflections and shadows. The module will therefore also include exploration of the principles and properties of materials and surfaces, as well as texturing.
