DESCRIPTION
This module introduces key concepts and approaches to adapting literature ? such as novels, biographies and plays ? into screenplays for media such as film and television. Students will be taught how to centre adaptation practice on critical reading of narratives; how to transfer narrative prose into dramatic form; and how to adapt structure, plot, character and dialogue for the screenplay.
