DESCRIPTION
This course is designed for students with at least two semesters of college French. Before the learning period, in order to attend FRE 211, students must have the level A2 of the CECRL (Cadre Européen Commun de Référence des Langues). Students can attend FRE 211 only, however, in order to make the most of this class, we recommend they also attend a French class focusing more on language and grammar, i.e. FRE 201-202 for students with two semesters French or FR 202 for students with three semesters French. The goal of this course is to deepen students' knowledge of contemporary France, particularly regarding social and racial issues.
