DESCRIPTION
Intended for students who have completed the equivalent of four to five semesters of college level French. This course will explore French children's literature from the 20th century to the present day. It will address the creativity of language through, among other things, wordplay and the interaction between text and illustrations, as well as the modern history of French culture and society which have shaped the system of family values and related to early childhood and adolescence. It will also offer students several creative writing assignments.
