DESCRIPTION

In this course the history of the Neo-Calvinist worldview will be introduced as an identity marker, in relation to more recent identity markers like nation, race and gender. How did this worldview function in
(Dutch) society, why did it become less relevant in the course of the 20th century, and what to think of more recent identity markers in the light of this development.

Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) awards credits based on the ECTS system. Contact hours listed under a course description may vary due to the combination of lecture-based and independent work required for each course therefore, CEA's recommended credits are based on the ECTS credits assigned by VU Amsterdam. 1 ECTS equals 28 contact hours assigned by VU Amsterdam.
