DESCRIPTION

On the basis of the Institution of Calvin, fundamental Reformation theology is discussed. The broad outline of his Institution is discussed, as well as the theological decisions it makes. We talk about characteristic Reformation cores such as the knowledge of God, the relationship between Word and Spirit, the spiritual nature of salvation, faith and justification, and so on. In order to bring out the specifics of the Reformation, lines are drawn to contemporary theological practice.

Contact hours listed under a course description may vary due to the combination of lecture-based and independent work required for each course therefore, CEA's recommended credits are based on the ECTS credits assigned by VU Amsterdam. 1 ECTS equals 28 contact hours assigned by VU Amsterdam.
