DESCRIPTION

This course treats Western philosophy from 6 BC to the 14th century AD. It introduces you to Ancient and Medieval philosophy, by studying the thinking of Plato, Aristotle, Boëthius, Thomas Aquinas, as well as Arabic and ancient female philosophers. We will focus on the relation between world, knowledge and language (metaphysics, epistemology, logics).
