DESCRIPTION

The general objective of the "Research Methods in Social Sciences" subject is the acquisition of a complete understanding of the research process and its different stages, deepening the theoretical tradition that justifies it, analysing the specific problems of social and criminological research, and being able to implement it rigorously. Research Methods in Social Sciences is directly linked to Introduction to Sociology (1st course) and Introduction to Criminology (1st course). It is also connected through the methodological module to Introduction to Statistics (1st year) and with Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods (2nd year).

Course will consist of 60hrs of in class work and 90 hrs of independent work outside the classroom.
