DESCRIPTION

This subject contributes to the professional profile of this Grade by acquiring scientific-technic abilities in order to develop the job of Civil Engineering, and also specific abilities dealing with theoretical and practical knowledge of chemistry, physics, mechanical and technological properties of materials most used in construction.

'Materials of Construction II' is a compulsory subject to be studied during second year of this Civil Engineering Grade. It means the students already know some basic knowledge acquired during subjects in the previous year, like Materials Of Construction I, Fundamentals of Chemistry in Civil Engineering, Fundamentals of Physics in Civil Engineering, Mechanics for Engineers, Geology Applied to Civil Engineering, Fundamentals of Mathematics in Civil Engineering. The knowledge acquired during this subject will be helpful in order to deep into other subjects in the third and fourth year of this Grade.

Course will consist of 60hrs of in class work and 90 hrs of independent work outside the classroom.
