DESCRIPTION
"Qualitative Research and Nursing Development" is an Optional Course taught in the 3rd year of Nursing Undergraduate Programme at University of Alicante, Spain. Contents taught in this course are focused on introducing students to the fundamentals of qualitative research, which is considered of great importance for the training of healthcare professionals. The acquisition of knowledge of this course is based mainly on the use of specific qualitative research techniques applied to different situations of life, specifically related to health and disease/illness. The complexity of the human being is a wide phenomenon that should be understood by healthcare professionals and at this point, qualitative research fits in the task to achieve a professional holistic overview of the experiences.
Those students belonging to Group 2 (English Group) will have to demonstrate their skills in writing, speaking and listening in English language along class development.
Course will consist of 60hrs of in class work and 90 hrs of independent work outside the classroom.
