DESCRIPTION

This module is an integration of Well Drilling Engineering, Fluids and Applications of Control. The emphasis is to create an understanding of Geoscience, petroleum systems and reservoirs, also fluid flow and traps. Introduce Cycles of an oilfield project, from exploration to decommissioning. Well drilling and well logging and their importance on the different stages to get information from the earth.
The module includes principles well design, fluid dynamic optimisation and completion.
This module particularly builds on the skills and knowledge developed in Geoscience and Well Drilling (level 5), and Fluids and Separation (level 5). Students will learn key petroleum engineering processes, fluids, and application of principles of control.
