DESCRIPTION

This module introduces students to key issues in International Relations and to many of the concepts and themes that will be further developed during their studies. Its focus will be on major contemporary global events and processes and it will provide an opportunity to explore and apply key perspectives and concepts that inform international analysis. The content is not fixed, but will be amended each year to reflect real-world controversies and events, such as climate change, humanitarian intervention, the Syrian conflict and the Olympic Games. There will be an element of student choice in selection of case studies
