DESCRIPTION
The main focus of this module is diet-disease relationships. It will be of particular interest to those wishing to develop their interest in clinical nutrition and dietetics. Disorders covered will include metabolic disorders and diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, liver and kidney. The module will also examine food intolerances and allergies, nutrition in infection, immunology and trauma. The provision of food in hospitals will be considered.
