DESCRIPTION

This module has been designed to allow students to apply their knowledge of biomechanics within the clinical domain. It will primarily focus on clinical gait analysis and will develop the students? understanding of the role of injury/pathology in restricted/abnormal movement. At the end of this module, the student will have an in-depth knowledge of the functional properties of a dynamic musculoskeletal system, mechanisms of injury/pathology, rehabilitation and 3-dimensional motion analysis procedures. The knowledge and skills developed will be assessed through a written piece of coursework in the form of a scientific report and an end of module examination.
