DESCRIPTION

While the global market place becomes more accessible and interconnected, new challenges appear in the international business arena. Because of this it is imperative to understand the world as an integrated system through analyzing how political, economic, social, technological, cultural, and legal environments affect international business operations.

This course is intended to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of international business and the key factors that must be considered in the development of a well-conceived global business plan. Once familiar with the global concepts, you will immerse yourself into local and regional economies and analyze how they operate and compete in this global scenario. We will present a local case study to work on so that you can identify all course concepts in a practical way. The following course concepts will be discussed during the case study: definition of business strategy, entry barriers to foreign markets and expansion, company structure, marketing plan, communication strategy and other relevant information.
