DESCRIPTION
The subject aims to analyze the past, present and future of European integration, on the basis of historic and economic reasoning, as well as its connections with the Mediterranean area. The process of European integration and its effects will be assessed taking into account differences in European Member States economies as well as considering the EU as a whole on an international level. The role of Spain in the EU and the EU's relationships with the countries in the Mediterranean area will be analyzed. Issues of intercultural communication between both sides of the Mediterranean Sea will be discussed.
