Explore face-to-face the forms and styles of Italian Renaissance architecture throughout the peninsula, focusing on the major centers like Florence, Rome, Venice and Milan, and smaller sites such as Pienza, Urbino and Vicenza. Your field visits, class discussions and independent journal entries will be complemented by onsite encounters with architectural historians, restorers and modern architects engaged in adapting and conserving historic buildings who will share their knowledge on specific topics.
