DESCRIPTION

This course focuses on presentation of different statistical methods and their interrelations with special attention to regression and other multivariate statistical techniques and models. Usefulness of statistical way of thinking in different areas of analysis is demonstrated with more concrete forms on applications in business and psychology. The purpose of the course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills in order to assess statistical evidence, based on multivariate statistical analyses, reported in scientific papers. Furthermore, the course aims to teach the steps on the computation of multivariate statistical procedures needed to answer various research questions. Generally, the course aims to motivate in students an intrinsic interest in statistical thinking, to instill the belief that statistics is important for scientific research, and provide a foundation and motivation for exposure to statistical ideas subsequent to the course.
